Parsippany-Troy Hills Fatal Fire

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Parsippany – Troy Hills Chief of Police Paul Philipps announce an investigation of a fatal fire in Parsippany, New Jersey.

On February 22, 2017 at 4:19 am, there was a report of a residential fire at 300 Parsippany Road in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey, resulting in one (1) death.

The investigation has been completed. The cause is undetermined at this time; however, the origin is believed to be on the kitchen floor in the area of electrical appliances. There is no indication of criminal activity.

Prosecutor Knapp would like to thank the Parsippany –Troy Hills Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Section, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Arson/Environmental Crimes and Major Crimes Units, and the responding fire departments for their efforts during this incident.
