West Morris Mendham High School Teacher Arrested for Official Misconduct

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Chief Pasquale Libertino of the Mendham Borough Police Department announce the arrest of 32 year-old Nicole McDonough, of Mount Olive Township, New Jersey, on the charge of Official Misconduct, a crime of the second degree.

Law enforcement received information that the defendant, Nicole McDonough, engaged in a sexual relationship with an 18 year-old student while she was employed as a teacher at West Morris Mendham High School. The acts in question allegedly occurred in May and June of 2014.   McDonough was arrested on December 30, 2014, following an investigation conducted by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit and the Mendham Borough Police Department. The investigation was led by Detective Bruce LaFera of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Chris Irons of the Mendham Borough Police Department.

A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite this accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until he or she has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Arrest Made in Denville Township Bank Robbery

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Denville Township Police Chief Christopher Wagner announce the arrest of Larry Zhou, thirty-one (31) years old of Morris Plains, New Jersey on a charge related to a robbery that occurred on December 27, 2014 at the TD Bank in Denville Township, New Jersey.

At approximately 10:09 a.m., a report of a bank robbery was made involving an incident that occurred at the TD Bank, located at 298 East Main Street in Denville.   

Numerous law enforcement agencies took part in this investigation, including the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Denville Township Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section, the New Jersey State Police, and the FBI. 

On December 29, 2014, Larry Zhou was charged with one count of Robbery, a crime of the second degree.  Bail was set at $125,000 full cash, bond or property without a ten percent option. The defendant was remanded to the Morris County Correctional Facility.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Denville Township Bank Robbery

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Denville Township Police Chief Christopher Wagner announce an active investigation into a bank robbery that occurred this morning in Denville Township, New Jersey.

At approximately 10:09 a.m., a report of a bank robbery was made involving an incident that occurred at the TD Bank, located at 298 East Main Street in Denville.

Initial reports indicated that a male entered the bank branch and demanded money. The male can be further described as an Asian male, approximately six (6) feet tall, who was seen wearing a black knit cap, black jacket, black gloves, yellow scarf and sunglasses.

The male is believed to have fled from the scene in a black, four-door sedan with tinted windows and chrome trim around the windows. The vehicle fled in the direction of Route 53 South towards Morris Plains, New Jersey.

Numerous law enforcement agencies have responded and are currently investigating, including the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Denville Township Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section, the New Jersey State Police, and the FBI.
