Chasing the Dragon: Confronting the Opiate Epidemic in our Communities

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp announces that the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office will participate in a community event titled “Chasing the Dragon: Confronting the Opiate Epidemic in our Communities.”

Coordinated by the Morris County Department of Human Services and the Community Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Morris, the event, which is open to the public and free of charge, is scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9: 00 pm, at the Meadow Wood Manor, 461 Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869.

Speakers will include Prosecutor Knapp, Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Brad Seabury, medical and law enforcement professionals, and experts from the treatment and prevention fields. The scope of the problem, how lives are being affected, and what is being done to confront the opiate epidemic will be discussed.

The event will also include a screening of “Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict” produced by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
